Letting People Help

Maneuvering life on crutches gives one a different perspective. I am definitely a “I can do it myself” kind of person. I don’t want to be a bother.

My farmer husband and I attended a soil health conference in Omaha this past week. The majority of people at the event and in the hotel in general were very gracious and willing to help with whatever I needed.

Crutches have been a very humbling experience for me, that is for sure. One particular time, I was carrying my purse with me, and one kind older gentleman carried it all that way to the table I was sitting at. He was so proud.

I have learned to let people help me. Don’t deny them the blessing they feel from helping.

Always be willing to help others. Many times, it is the little things that make the difference.

Blessing to you,

Debbie
