Let’s Talk: Communication is a Gift!
Hello! Communication is such a gift. God gave communication to every living thing in nature, a process we take for granted.
Dolphins, coconut trees, lizards, and stars exchange information to understand each other. Facial expressions, gestures, emotions, sounds, and body language are universal ways people, animals, and creation talk to each other, speaking volumes.
Even though we might be using the same communication techniques, we each have our own twist on the presentation. Cultural backgrounds, how we were raised, gender, and temperament all affect how communication is expressed.
Successful communication can avoid conflicts and help us make better decisions.
Almost everything that exists in human communication is rooted in language and words.
Words are powerful, not just what you say but how you say or write them.
Communicating effectively plays a huge role in resolving conflicts and preventing potential ones from arising. When communicating well, you can provide clear expectations and objectives, improving trust and creating better relationships. This is a skill each and every one of us needs to continually work on.
Mark Twain describes words well. “The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.”
Friend, I hope you have a fabulous week!
