What holds you back? Time, excuses, procrastination, fear, a lack of self-belief, or the story you tell yourself.
I watched a father and his junior high-aged son playing catch on the beach. They were throwing a football back and forth to each other. The father threw the football flawlessly at his son every time, even though he only had one arm. That man could catch and throw the football better than most people I know with two arms.
You could tell the father was overjoyed to be there with his son; the smile on his face shone with happiness. Watching them toss that football
made me smile.
How many times do we hold ourselves back, and do we ultimately bear the blame for not accomplishing our goals? Can you relate?
Do you tend to give up too quickly when life gets hard?
Many years ago, I attempted to write a book but failed, so I put that idea on the shelf. Several years later, I decided to try it again, and
this time, I succeeded. My first book is in the publishing process.
God never gives up on you, and neither should you. He will help you accomplish whatever you are supposed to.
“I can do all things through Christ because He gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
Stop putting things off, set clear goals, break down big jobs into smaller steps, and give yourself firm deadlines. You can accomplish whatever you set your mind to do!
Friend, change your story. Learn to throw the football.
Blessings,
Debbie
