Hey there!
I have taken a little break from the book project in honor of the Christmas Season. I wanted to reminisce about an event I experienced last week.
Our daughter graduated from college. Several of our kids and other family members traveled to watch her walk across the stage.
After the ceremony, we all gathered at a Mexican restaurant for lunch. It was a great time, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Later, I thought about how society seems to associate labels with different life events. Looking around the table, some assigned labels were ex-wife, second wife, step-parents, step-grandparents, and step-siblings. But none of us gave those labels even a second thought.
We were all friends and family celebrating and enjoying each other’s company; that is how it is meant to be. I’m not saying we are perfect, but it was a good day, and we all behaved our best.
Make that your goal this week of Christmas. Be on your best behavior and enjoy your family and friends!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in faith so that you overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 5:13
Jesus is the reason for the season.
Merry Christmas Friends,
Debbie
