Trudging Through the Snow

Cheers!

Last weekend, we received a bunch of snow, around 15 inches in 24 hours. Our two-year-old granddaughter begged her parents to let her go outside and play.

The storm was gone on Monday morning, and the sun shone brightly. Out my window, I could see my little granddaughter, her mommy, and their dog trying to maneuver around in the deep snow.

While Mommy was scraping off the porch, the little one followed the dog to the other side of the house and fell. Mom immediately put down her shovel to locate her daughter quickly. After picking her up, Mom maneuvered her little one back to the front porch.

I couldn’t hear our granddaughter, but her mother’s quick reaction told me she had been crying out.

God reacts to our cry for help just like that. We can’t see him, but if we fall down and cry out, our Heavenly Father will help pick us back up.

Writing a book is a very long, tedious, and frustrating process. Sometimes, the pathway can feel like trying to walk through deep snow. I will admit I cry out desperately many times, asking God for help. He has never let me down and will not.

God has a plan. I need to trust His plan, not mine. His timeline isn’t the same as mine, but I am continually learning to be patient through the process.

How about you? What road are you currently traveling on that feels like you are walking in deep snow? Are you trusting God’s plan to help you through it?

Friend, God will never let you down.

Have a fabulous week!

Debbie
